Unique Products that Advance Research
PartTec, Ltd has partnered with major research laboratories to develop highly advanced scientific instruments. In one collaborative effort PartTec's involvement enabled continued research of new neutron detectors. In another collaboration, part of the outcome was a very advanced analysis that helped to advance the study of carbon nonotubes.  The detectors advanced in conjunction with PartTec, such as the Fiber Neutron Detector, are now in place at locations across the country.

The manufacture of scientific tools is one, obvious, result of a lab's collabloration with PartTec. But PartTec means more than manufacturing. PartTec is a true Partner in Technology. PartTec offers a unique Open Partnering Model; partners are accepted into the collaboration effort very openly, using all capabilities to achieve a shared goal.  PartTec is dedicated to finding opportunities for successful partnerships between scientists, universities, laboratories and other companies. These working relationships produce outcomes that individually the partners would not accomplish as effectively.

PartTec has worked in partnership with labs at the Spallation Neutron Source located at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Indiana University, Purdue University and the Rhode Island Nuclear science Center, to name a few. In each partnership PartTec looked for new ways to improve product using the methods of Design for Manufacturability, Concurrent Engineering rigorous Quality Control and Improvement.

Real People, Real Jobs, Real Communities
PartTec's Headquarters and Research Offices are located in Bloomington, Indiana, in close proximity to the Indiana University campus, in the beautiful rolling hills of southern Indiana. Here, PartTec's scientists communicate with the University's faculty, taking advantage of the University's World-class scientists, laboratory facilities and the physicists and technicians at the Indiana University Cyclotron Facility. PartTec's scientists also communicate directly with peers at Purdue University, Rose Hulman Institute of Technology and with Engineers and Scientists at the nearby CRANE Naval Surface Warfare Center.

PartTec's manufacturing center is also located in Southern Indiana in the town of Linton.   This facility produces all of the neutron detectors for the Spallation Neutron Source's POWGEN3 Powder Diffactometer and for the VULCAN Engineering Diffractometer.  In addition to the fiber detector being manufactured for the Spallation Neutron Source, the facility is building Linear Position Sensitive Detectors for the Rhode Island Nuclear Science Center, and has performed final calibration testing and board-level component installations to the Power Circuits and Pre-Amplifier Circuits of the Linear Position Sensitive Detectors that are being installed into the Sequoia Instrument at the Spallation Neutron Source.
